About us
MoRTH, Govt. of India, initiated to establish model Institutes for drivers training and research in selected states during 10th five-year plan. Government of Kerala utilized this opportunity and Kerala Motor Vehicle Department established an IDTR at Edappal in 25 acres of land with suitable building and facilities in 2014 with the financial assistance of Govt. of Kerala and Kerala Road Safety Authority. IDTR registered under societies Act and run by Kerala Motor Vehicle Department. IDTR, Kerala is conducting scientific training programs for drivers, driving school instructors and officers of Motor Vehicle Department for improving road user behavior.
